Easy Peach Cobler With Yellow Cake Mix
This super easy peach cobbler with cake mix takes just a few minutes to prep! It uses canned peaches and a box of yellow cake mix.
This peach cobbler is easy peasy to make. It is a great dessert to make for so many different occasions too! It's wonderful to make for a crowd, party, or potluck.
This recipe is perfect to make all year round since it calls for canned peaches. My kids love it and it is a very family friendly recipe. You can serve as is or with a little whipped cream or vanilla ice cream on top.
Ingredients needed
For this recipe, you will need:
- Canned peaches in syrup: You will need three cans of peaches in syrup for this recipe. You will want to drain only one can. Keep the syrup in the first two cans.
- Cinnamon and nutmeg: To give the cobbler some spice.
- Yellow cake mix: Use whatever brand you prefer.
- Brown sugar: Just a little brown sugar is needed to sweeten the topping.
- Butter: I used unsalted butter but if you prefer salted that works too.
How to store leftovers
Cover and store leftovers in your fridge. They will be good for three to four days after making. Reheat individual servings using 30 second intervals on your microwave until warm.
How to make
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees and grease a 9 x 13 casserole dish.
Melt the butter in your microwave and set aside to cool.
Add two cans of the peaches with their syrup to the bottom of the casserole dish. Drain the juices from the third (add only the peaches) and add those as well.
Sprinkle over the cinnamon and nutmeg. Next, add the yellow cake mix on top. Sprinkle the brown sugar over.
Pour the butter over the mix as evenly as possible.
Bake uncovered for 40 minutes.

Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream go great on top of this peach cobbler or you can eat it as is!

- Melting the butter and pouring over the cake mix will help the peach cobbler to bake more evenly.

- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 box yellow cake mix about 15.25 ounces
- ½ cup unsalted butter (½ cup is 1 stick)
